The purpose of the Nikiski Senior Center is to make available programs and services that enhance the personal well-being and enjoyment of life for our older citizens in the Nikiski area.
Our Story
The center has been serving the Kenai Peninsula community for many years, building a strong reputation as a dependable and welcoming space. While it began as a senior center, it has evolved into a broader community hub where individuals of all ages can gather, connect, and access a variety of programs and essential services that support everyday life.
Now, with a recent leadership transition, the center is moving forward with fresh energy and a renewed sense of purpose. This momentum comes at a critical time, as the need for senior services across the Kenai Peninsula continues to grow. By expanding its reach and adapting to changing community needs, the center remains committed to providing meaningful support and opportunities for connection.

The Nikiski Senior Center is run by a dedicated team of staff and community volunteers who show up every day for Nikiski’s seniors.
Membership
- Open to seniors 55 and older.
- Dues: $25/year per person or $125 lifetime / $200 lifetime couple.
- Benefits: Voting rights, free faxing, Wi-Fi, notary services, monthly newsletter, free birthday lunch, business discounts, discounted classes, and more.
